WCS Foundations Cohort

Limited Enrollment | July 15–29, 2026

This summer, Wolfeboro Camp School will pilot a new two-week Foundations Cohort for students who cannot attend the full five-week session. Designed for rising 9th and 10th graders, this immersive program combines Wolfeboro’s signature balance of academics and camp life in a focused, supportive environment.

Focused Learning, Real Growth

Students in the Foundations Cohort will take three core classes—Public Speaking, Current Events, and Literature—that build critical thinking, communication, and confidence.

  • Public Speaking: Students learn to organize ideas, write with purpose, and present with poise and clarity.
  • Current Events: Using news and media from around the world, students strengthen their reading comprehension, note-taking, and analytical skills.
  • Literature: Through the study of a novel, class discussion, and essay writing, students learn to interpret texts and express their insights with confidence.

In addition, the program introduces key executive functioning skills, including time management, homework completion, and self-advocacy—helping students return to school better organized and ready to succeed.

Life at Wolfeboro

While the academic program is focused, the camp experience is complete. Foundations students join in all afternoon activities, enjoy family-style seated meals, and take part in weekend trips alongside the full-session community. From time on the water to time with friends, students gain a true sense of belonging and the confidence that comes from trying new things.
