Celebrating Success on Wolfeboro Wednesday!
Kathleen Nicholson

We're thrilled to share the incredible news from our first-ever Wolfeboro Wednesday!

Thanks to the unwavering support of our fantastic Wolfeboro community, we didn't just meet our goal; we exceeded it in spectacular fashion! Our initial target was to secure 114 gifts, and you all came together to make it happen. In fact, we're overjoyed to announce that, between 120 total donors, we received over $38,000 in generous donations!

We reached our goal through gifts from faculty and staff, former students and parents, trustees, and friends of Wolfeboro; it truly was a remarkable day.

Part of what we found so inspiring was the way folks went out of their way to share the incredible impact WCS has had on their lives. Take a moment to hear some of their testimonials:
- Allison ('01, 02)
- Brian ('81, current staff)
- Jessie (current staff)
- Kate (current staff)
- Kevin ('89)
- Maisam ('19)
- Maleika ('19)
- Mickoy ('07)
- Virge (former staff)
- Written quote testimonials

The outpouring of support directly contributes to our mission of widening access to the WCS program and further enhancing our campus. It's through your generosity that we can continue to provide life-changing experiences to our students.

The lasting power of our work shone though the support from families and alumni from years past.  After Wolfeboro Wednesday, donors Marc and Tina were kind enough to share why they continue to support Wolfeboro years after their daughter’s summer at Wolfeboro.

"Our daughter, Alexina, had just completed her Third Form year (9th grade) at Kent in Connecticut. Her year in English with a very demanding and excellent teacher with many years of experience provided a challenging year in the classroom. It all came down to the final year exam as to whether she would need to repeat her year. She passed!

As Kent’s admissions director, I regularly advised incoming students whom our Committee believed enrollment at Wolfeboro would provide an academic emphasis during part of the summer season on the shore of Rust Pond. It was clear seeing how our own child could acquire that head start for her subsequent years at Kent.  It was truly the best decision we made as her reading, writing and analytical skills improved to a higher level, allowing her to thrive in her remaining years of secondary education.

The Wolfeboro staff made all the difference. And we are very grateful."

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated, shared their memories, and contributed to our success. Your dedication is truly making a difference in the lives of our students and the future of Wolfeboro Camp School.

We look forward to highlighting stories of joy and success over the coming months!
